I have decided that I really need to do something about these recession threats and make sure that my household can cope with anything that is thrown at it. I have decided to cut costs by shopping in cheaper supermarkets and buying less new clothes. I have cancelled the magazine subscriptions and stopped buying fresh flowers. I have given up my cleaning lady and downsized my sports car. I have even been working on the children. They have asked if I can pay for the Seatwave Reading Festival tickets that they want. I have decided that they need to find some ways of getting me the money to pay for it. They have both started asking for less sweets and chocolate form the supermarket and this has saved some money towards the Reading Festival 2009 Tickets. They have also stopped asking me to give them so many lifts and have been walking more. Lastly they have stopped leavings o many lights and appliances on in the house unnecessarily. I have agreed that as long as they continue to do this all the way up to the event then I will not make them pay me back for the tickets. I think that this is a fair deal and they seem to as well, they have even stopped looking for the Reading Festival lineup on line to try to save some electricity!
